I never went up to Fleetwood on Saturday. I had the opportunity but it was a long way to go and with the weather, it was a good decision in the end.

It seems like it was just one of those performances. Pompey were clearly lacklustre and there was nothing to get too excited about.

But we're back at Fratton Park and are unbeaten at home. We’ve got the fans behind us and each win breeds confidence, so it’s important to keep the momentum going.

Pompey dropped out of the play-offs but I think six points in our next two games against MK Dons and Rochdale will see us right back up there.

I still look at the top of the table and I can’t see anyone who will definitely be up there come the end of the season.

It's the opposite of last campaign. You had Luton, Barnsley and Charlton and you could say all three would finish around the automatic promotion place.

This season is so open and it would be an unsuccessful season if we don't go up after the money we spent.

Fans can be fickle but we have only lost two of our past 14 games, winning 11 of them. There was a stat a few months ago showing Kenny Jackett has the most successful win ratio as Pompey manager.

However, maybe if we don't go up, then the owners will have a big decision to make in the summer.

For this game, I'd play Gareth Evans in the number-10 role.

We’ve missed Andy Cannon while he's been injured, while John Marquis certainly isn't a number 10, while it seems Marcus Harness was tried there for a period at Fleetwood.

Evans did well in the role during the early stages of last season and is a goal threat, while I'd play Ellis Harrison up front if fit.

Chris’ starting line-up

Alex Bass, James Bolton, Sean Raggett, Christian Burgess, Steve Seddon, Tom Naylor, Cameron McGeehan, Marcus Harness, Gareth Evans, Ronan Curtis, Ellis Harrison.
