Gaffer: Skipper Tom Naylor must be given Portsmouth recall for crucial Oxford trip
I thought we were outstanding on Friday against Oxford United until we opened the scoring on 32 minutes.
We moved the ball quickly, were comfortable in possession, passes went to blue shirts, while Ronan Curtis and Marcus Harness were hitting the white lines on the wings.

Kenny Jackett’s team need to learn how to consolidate for a period once they have got ahead in big games.
After that, neither team were prepared to throw an extra man forward to get the goal and it ended 1-1.
However, I’m expecting Pompey to win 2-0 tomorrow and reach the play-off final. Our ability on the break will be the difference.

Hide AdIt sounds like Jackett will once again have a full squad to choose from, but I’d still make a change by bringing Tom Naylor back in for Cameron McGeehan.
Being away from home, I see us having less of the ball. Certainly if Naylor had been present he would have put more pressure on Marcus Browne for that equaliser.
Naylor and Ben Close have been the consistent midfield partnership, but McGeehan doesn’t fit into that defensive role. Neither is he a number 10.
I definitely liked what I saw when he was at Luton and Barnsley, but he doesn’t quite fit into our system. For me, he’s a bit of a luxury player.

Hide AdBryn Morris didn't do anything wrong on his comeback and certainly has a point to prove. They clearly see something in training and he deserves to keep his place.
Let’s face it, we have five substitutes and can always bring him off after 20 mins and put someone else on if it’s not working.
I think Oxford will attack us more in this match and have more of the ball. But I still expect us to win the match.
Pompey: Bass, McCrorie, Burgess, Raggett, Brown, Naylor, Morris, Harness, Cannon, Curtis, Harrison.
