Group processing to begin ahead of fans' return as more than 12,700 Portsmouth supporters sign up for flex-season ticket

And some of those fans could be back inside Fratton Park on Saturday, October 10, for the visit of MK Dons.

That depends, however, on government guidelines.

At present, the start of next month has been earmarked as the date when supporters could return to watch live sport at elite level, with reduced capacities of 25 per cent.

This weekend will see league clubs pilot the return of 1,000 fans inside grounds after they were given the green light by the EFL.

A request had to been submitted by today, although it remains to be seen if the Blues’ hosts on Sunday, Rochdale, applied for permission.

In the meantime, however, Pompey are forging ahead with their own plans to get fans back down the Park.

They’re now asking those who have signed up for a flexi ticket to chose which grouping of 1,000 fans they want to be a part of.

Those supporters will then have to chose to be a apart of another group of 100 so that seating and games can be allocated.

Fans have from 10am tomorrow morning until 11.59pm on Sunday, September 27 to do so.

A decision about which games will be allocated to which groups will be made in due course.

Meanwhile, depending on capacity restrictions, individual games might be open to multiple groups.

However, once a group has been allocated a game, they will not be allocated another until all groups have had the chance to attend a game.

Fans are asked to note that they are not obligated to buy tickets for a game they have been allocated.

Yet the club are unable to offer an alternative fixture if you cannot attend a game you have been allocated.

Members will also be able to purchase tickets for games their group has been allocated, but not every game will have tickets available for members.

In August Pompey reassured those fans without a flexi-season ticket that they have not been forgotten about.
