How Portsmouth delivered a fourth successive win at Wigan to move fourth in League One
Pompey are bidding for fourth successive League One victories against Wigan Athletic this afternoon.
Since taking the Fratton Park hot seat last month, Danny Cowley has steered the Blues to wins over Ipswich, Shrewsbury and Rochdale.
Pompey’s play-off bid has been given fresh impetus and they now sit fifth in the table with nine games remaining.
They now take on a Wigan side locked in a relegation battle and the visitors go into the clash as favourites.
The Blues will again be without 16-goal top scorer John Marquis, who is serving the second of a three-match suspenion.
As a result, Ronan Curtis will continue as a makeshift striker for Pompey having netted his 11th goal of the season in the 2-1 defeat of Rochdale on Friday.
