How Portsmouth slipped to successive League One defeats against Lincoln as Jack Whatmough red card gave Blues mountain to climb

The Blues’ six-match unbeaten streak came to an end on Saturday when they were thrashed 4-0 by Hull City.

It was an under-par performance to a man and Kenny Jackett’s side missed out on a chance to move into the League One automatic promotion spots.

But Pompey quickly have a chance to bounce back against another rival in the race for the Championship.

Lincoln sit second in the table but a win for the Blues will see them cut the deficit to just a point.

Kenny Jackett will have new-boys Charlie Daniels and George Byers available for selection.

Daniels, a left-back, arrived on a free transfer from Shrewsbury while midfielder Byers has moved to Fratton Park from Swansea for the rest of the season.
