Danny Cowley’s appointment as head coach has helped rejuvenate players and fans alike heading into the business end of the campaign.

Cowley and his brother Nicky got off to the perfect start in Pompey hot seat with a 2-1 win over Ipswich.

The aim the former Lincoln and Huddersfield chief has been tasked with on the south coast is delivering a play-off finish.

The Blues are one of several clubs all still within the mix for promotion as the season starts to head towards a crescendo.

The table is extremely tight, with the likes of Oxford, Accrington, Charlton and Doncaster all bidding for a berth in the top six.
