It's Bristol City scrapped and Stevenage brought forward in Portsmouth fixture changes
Pompey have scrapped their friendly at Bristol City – in favour of starting their Carabao Cup campaign.
Kenny Jackett’s side had been scheduled to travel to City on Saturday, August 29 for the third and final pre-season fixture.
Instead they have elected to face Stevenage in the first round of the Carabao Cup at Broadhall Way (3pm).
It means the friendly with the Championship club will no longer take place.
Provisionally, Carabao Cup ties are to take place on the weekend of September 5-6, however the clubs mutually agreed to bring the match forward.
Meanwhile, Pompey will face Colchester in the EFL Trophy in the week commencing September 7.
As part of the group stages, they are also scheduled to visit Southend (week commencing October 5) and West Ham under-21s (week commencing November 9).
