The one-time Premier League player has signed until the end of the season and provides some vital competitiveness on the left-hand side of Pompey’s back four.
Despite the veteran’s presence, Brown was handed his 20th appearance of the campaign for the visit of Lincoln to Fratton Park last week.

Hide AdBrown has been a regular starter for Pompey this term when fit.
He now has a battle on his hands to maintain that stat for the remainder of the season.
However, Jackett insists the 30-year-old is fine with the competition and would expect nothing less from a side with serious ambitions of returning to the Championship.
The manager said: ‘Lee knew we would be signing another specialist left-back, he would have been surprised if we hadn’t.

‘It’s part and parcel of playing for a club of the stature of Portsmouth. You need and expect competition around you.’
Daniels has already spoken about the competition for places his Fratton Park arrival brings.
He said the situation would benefit both players and the team.
