A new date has still to be determined for when Kenny Jackett's men will defend their crown, having defeated Sunderland on penalties in the previously-branded Checktrade Trophy final last season.
Matches are set to be played behind closed doors when the 2019-20 campaign recommences, while it might not be until October 1 when fans are again allowed into grounds.
But once it is safe for the highly-anticipated final to go ahead, the EFL has said it plans for supporters to be present inside the national stadium.

‘As with all other competitions, the final will only be played when it is deemed safe to do so and based on advice by the authorities.
‘It, therefore, remains impossible at this stage to advise on a revised date. The EFL will provide any further update as soon as is practically possible.’
