Pompey bid to kickstart their play-off ambitions with victory against Bristol Rovers today (1pm).

Only a victory will do against Joey Barton’s side at Fratton Park after a run of four games without a win.

The Gas, meanwhile, know anything less than three points will see them condemned to relegation, while they need Leam Richardson’s Wigan to lose to Burtoyyou n Albion.

The Pompey defence just finished warming up as a back four. Maybe just to keep Joey Barton guessing. That said, Johnson was in the middle and sub Bolton right-back. So maybe one not too place too much stock in at all!

Looks like two from four for the final two play-off spots now from Oxford United, Charlton, Blackpool and Pompey. Best guess is it will take around 75 points to get in the top six. That would be three wins and a draw from the final four for Pompey. With a trip to Accrington to come on Tuesday, this has to be down as a must-win for Pompey
