Today, sports governing bodies and broadcasters are scheduled to meet with government officials to debate the staging of events behind closed doors should the situation worsen.

To be hosted by the government's Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport in London, the meeting will explore the practicalities of sporting events taking place without supporters, if required.
