Bishop praise

EFL pundit Eli Maxwell has dubbed Colby Bishop as the best striker in League One. He said on the Not The Top 20 podcast: “Portsmouth came flying out the traps and it was Carlisle that were kind of left clinging on, Tomas Holy making a lot of good saves, Bishop looking dangerous as ever.

“I’m sort of very confident now, and I’m sure I’m ono this a little later than most Pompey fans, but I’m very confident now in saying that Colby Bishop is League One’s best all round striker. He just looks incredible at the moment, he’s hitting such a good performance level.”

Rohard-Brown deal

Southampton have announced the signing of Reading youngster Thierry Rohart-Brown. The 16-year-old midfielder was in-demand after impressing as a youngster with the Royals youth system, and the Saints have moved to snap him up.

Southampton have a reputation for bringing through top talent, and they believe Rohart-Brown could be the next big thing. With the youngster only 16 years of age, the Saints were able to snap up Rohart-Brown for training compensation, while the youngster gets to step up a division.
