Pompey team news

Ben Close is unlikely to feature for Pompey against Fleetwood tonight.

However, Ellis Harrison is available for selection after his partner gave birth at the weekend.

Close picked up an ankle injury during the Blues’ 2-0 loss at Peterborough on Saturday and was replaced by Anndy Cannon 55 minutes into the match.

And manager Jackett believes he’ll not be available for the visit of Joey Barton’s seventh-place side to Fratton Park.

When asked about injuries during his pre-match press conference on Monday, the manager said: ‘The only one (injury) we have from Saturday is Ben Close, whose struggling with an ankle injury and I don’t think will be fit for Fleetwood.

‘Ellis trained and is back and available after quite a busy weekend.’

Fleetwood team news

Ched Evans will be looking to make his first start after returning from a three-match suspension.

The striker has been a substitute for the Cod Army’s past two games following his red card against Wycombe last month.

But after Joey Barton’s side fired a blank against Blackpool last time out he may opt to freshen up his attack.
