John Marquis’ double in Pompey’s 4-0 win against Sunderland has had Blues fans on social media backtracking.

The striker has had his critics during his time at Fratton Park, with his goal record often coming under scrutiny.

However, his welcome brace against the Black Cats – his second and third goals of the season – has forced many on Twitter to put their differences aside and applaud the front man for his valuable contribution in today’s much-needed victory.
