Pompey suffered late heartbreak as they drew with Morecambe.

Sean Raggett’s opener looked to have given the Blues three points, until Jonah Ayunga netted controversially in injury time to level the scores.

Gavin Bazunu appeared to be fouled as the Shrimps man headed home, but referee Bobby Madley saw things differently and saw no infringement.

  • George Hirst and Marcus Harness battling for Blues golden boot edge
  • Shrimps looking to bolster survival bid

OFF: Wildig

ON: Ayunga

Just before Morecambe can take their corner a spot of handbags ensues between Carter and Fane, before the Blues man wins the battle in the air and Pompey clear.

Pompey get away with one massively. The ball falls to Bazunu who is closed down by Wildig who blocks the ‘keeper’s clearance and the ball trickles just wide of the open goal. Lucky.

Play resumes with Robertson thankfully back on the pitch.

Stoppage in play as Stockton and Robertson collide on the edge of the box. The Shrimps hitman is back on his feet while the defender is still down receiving treatment.

So close for Hirst. He receives the ball with his back to goal, turns his defender and curls an effort just wide. Carson was no where near.

Greg Leigh intercepts the ball on the halfway line and drives into Pompey’s half before cutting inside, seeing Shaun Williams slip over and drag his shot just wide of the goal. The Blues have started slowly.

Phillips slides a defence-splitting pass into the path of Connolly who is stopped in his tracks when looking to progress by a sliding Robertson who times his tackle to perfection.
