And the Blues defender brushed off those questioning whether he should be a first-choice starter in Kenny Jackett’s side.

Raggett is closing in on a hugely-impressive 12-month period in which he has started every single game for the Blues.

The 26-year-old has started every League One fixture since he missed the 2-2 draw with Peterborough on December 7 last year with a knock.

In fact, the only game Raggett has not started in all competitions since then was the EFL Trophy win at Southend last month.

The run shows the faith Jackett has in the former Norwich man, with the Blues boss affording praise for his recent form.

Raggett was culpable for the first goal against Ipswich on Saturday, but responded by grabbing the disputed winner at Portman Road.

The central defender explained he’s satisfied with his level of performance and feels, despite some criticism, he’s showing his value to the side.

Raggett said: ‘I will always look at my game and see how I can improve.

‘There’s definitely room for improvement, but I’m happy enough with how I’m playing.

‘I just try to carry on playing and keep learning, but I feel my record speaks for itself.

‘We’ve won six away games on the trot - and I’ve played every one of those games.

‘I think I’ve actually played every game now since last December.

‘In that period we’ve picked up a lot of wins - so I’m happy with how I’m playing and I’m happy with how the team’s playing.’

Raggett questioned some of the flak aimed in his team’s direction, as they continued their fine form at Ipswich in the FA Cup on Saturday.

The win made it six away successes on the spin, with the victory over a promotion rival following on from successes against the likes of Sunderland and early pacesetters Lincoln.

Raggett noted how the table is taking shape but feels Pompey have shown there’s little for them to fear.

He added: ‘I think the league takes shape after this amount of games.

‘You can see the teams who are up there.

There’s sides like us, Ipswich and Sunderland - these are the teams you would expect to see near the top.

‘They are maybe the teams we see as our main rivals for promotion.

‘We’ve beaten Ipswich now and we’ve already played Sunderland as well and won - it shows that we have nothing to fear in this league.’
