New-boy Michael Jacobs hasn’t been named on the bench, however, after arriving on Monday on a free transfer.

Here’s how the Fratton faithful have reacted to the team news on Twitter...

No players rested for an irrelevant cup game 3 days before an important league game

Scott Turnbull

Like that , I’d have close over Morris the only change #pompey

But surprised to see Jack playing, but helpful to get a run of games to bed in the partnership with Raggett

@the3rdmitchell

Quite a strong team. Just hope none of our key players get injured.

@spenno13

Really should be resting Whatmough tonight, far more important battles ahead, would rather see him playing league games only

@Pompeytucks

Harness playing the 10 role. interesting

@84Knight

Where’s the new boy? Not even on the bench?

@sampfcx

Happy with this tbh. Think Jack should have been rested but we’ll see I guess
