The Black Cats won the game 1-0 thanks to substitute Chris Maguire’s 62nd-minute strike.

The hosts had defender Alim Ozturk sent off on 67 minutes for a foul on Gareth Evans.

The second leg will be held at Fratton Park on Thursday (7.45pm).
