Portsmouth forward fails to make Republic of Ireland final cutÂ
Ronan Curtis has missed out on a spot in the Republic of Ireland senior squad for their upcoming Nations League games.Â
The Pompey forward was named in Martin O'Neill's provisional 32-man set-up for his side's matches against Denmark (October 13) and Wales (October 16) in Dublin.Â
But Curtis, along with Richie Towell, Alan Judge, Daryl Horgan, Graham Burke and Greg Cunningham, have failed to make the final cut.
Instead, the former Derry City ace has linked up with his country's under-21s.
Curtis will feature for Noel King's side for their European Championship qualifier in Israel tomorrow and Germany four days' later.Â
Ireland sit third in Group Five, level on 14 points with Norway.
Curtis has registered six goals and five assists for Kenny Jackett's side this term, playing a key role in their rise to the summit of League One.Â
The 22-year-old missed last night's Checkatrade Trophy victory at Crawley and will also be absent for the League One trip to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.Â
