It's been a superb start from Pompey as they push for promotion into the ChampionshipÂ and a number of players have impressed.
And, according to the News' player ratings, Jack Whatmough has been the Blues' star man to date.Â
The sports desk has dusted down the calculator and worked out the players' average ratings using those marks out of 10 '“ allocated in the paper and at portsmouth.co.uk '“Â after each game.
Whatmough has made 12 appearancesÂ and averaged a match rating of 7.6.
The centre-back has become a regular in Jackett's starting line-up, although he was rested for the Accrington draw.
The academy graduateÂ has partnered Matt Clarke in central defence for the majority of the season.
The ex-Ipswich defender has featured in every game so far and is Pompey's joint-second top performer, having rackedÂ up an average match rating of 7.5.
Tom Naylor and Ben Thompson have both impressed since their summer arrivals from Burton and Millwall respectively and also boasts a score of 7.5.
Ronan Curtis and Jamal Lowe have plundered 12 goals and nine assists between them, proving potent attacking threats.
They can't be separated on their ratings for the campaign, either, having averaged 7.3 apiece.
The names at the opposite end of the table won't surprise a lot of the Fratton faithful.
Danny Rose (5) has made just a solitaryÂ substitute appearance off the bench, while Andre Green (5) played once before undergoing a knee operation.Â
