The Liverpool-based club’s shock victory over EFL outfit Colchester in the first round of the FA Cup was their ninth in a row in all competitions.

Amazingly, Marine have already won NINE cup ties this season - six in the FA Cup and three in the FA Trophy.

In addition to beating three higher division clubs in the FA Cup, Marine have also beaten a fourth - Stalybridge Celtic - in winning through three rounds of the FA Trophy.

Salford loanee Momodou Touray, 21, hit a hat-trick in a 5-0 win against divisional rivals Mossley, while Marine also defeated Tadcaster Albion (another team from their division) 3-1.

Marine have not lost in any competition since September 29. After losing their opening two league games - 2-1 to Dunston away and Colne at home - they won their last three prior to the second national lockdown.

Hmami netted twice in a 2-0 win at Widnes and was also on target in a 2-0 home victory over Tadcaster.

In their last league outing on October 27, Marine caned Pickering Town 4-0.

Touray, meanwhile, is the sole Marine player to have appeared in a competitive game since his side played Colchester.

He turned out for the Welsh under-21s against Moldova at Wrexham on November 13, and scored in his country’s 3-1 victory.
