Lowry ahead on points after another good Havant parkrun

She was 26th overall and has finished first lady on 12 occasions out of 43 apppearances.

Her run on Saturday was just two seconds outside her personal best.

Lowry also leads the annual points competition for the Staunton Country Park event with 598.

The second lady to finish on Saturday was Victory’s Jo Gilholm who placed 30th overall and finished with a time of 22.52.

Jane West finished third lady with a time of 24.43.

A total of 230 runners completed the slightly damp run on Saturday with 26 first timers.

The drizzle seemed to suit the runners, though.

An amazing 43 personal bests were achieved on the day.

John Cole completed his 200th parkrun on Saturday as he finished with a time of 29.12.

In the points competition Victory’s Kate Parks is second with 533 and Delia Abel is currently in third place with 523.

Victory runner Zack Lahlal finished first over the line on Saturday in a time of 17.11.

It was his 23rd first place in 52 appearances at Havant.

He’s targeting a sub-17 time on the course at Staunton Country Park.

City of Portsmouth youngster Jacob O’Hara crossed the line second.

He is in the junior male 15-to-17 age group and recorded a time of 17.13.

O’Hara has previously been first at Havant on three occasions and his personal best at Havant is 16.51.

He has now completed 49 parkruns and so very soon will be joining the 50 club.

Victory youngster Matt Healy, who ran strongly in the Lakeside 5k on Wednesday night, had another good run at Havant on Saturday as he crossed the line third in 18.26.

Kevin Sibley, who runs for Steel City Striders set a new personal best of 18.47.

Kev Gale leads the male points competition with 564 ahead of Roger Jones on 553 and Michael Bruce on 485.

David Rowe, of Tone Zone Runners, completed his 383rd parkrun at Havant on Saturday.

He finished with a time of 21.01 and has a personal best of 19.05.

Sharon Rowe was a visitor to Havant for the first time.

She has done 273 parkruns and finished in 37.53 on Saturday.

Rowe runs for Ranelagh Harriers and has done 174 of her runs at Bushy parkrun with 65 of them at Bognor.

David Lewis was another tourist at Havant as he finished in 35.19. He runs for MK Lakeside Runners.
