Vincent Pericard, Sander Westerveld, Andrea Guatelli, Aliou Cisse, Liam Horsted and Gary Silk were all released. Meanhile, loan duo Azar Karadas and Ognijen Koroman were also told they could return to their parents. Here, we look back what happened to the eight in question following their Pompey releases.
1. Vincent Pericard
Following his release, the striker featured for Stoke, Southampton, Millwall, Carlisle, Swindon and the Hawks, before retiring in 201. Spent time in prison but after graduating with a degree in Business Enterprise Development he is on a two-year BT graduate scheme.

2. Sander Westerveld
Helped UD Almería win promotion to La Liga in 2007, before joining Sparta Rotterdam. Also played for AC Monza Brianza 1912 and Ajax Cape Town, where he became a coach in 2012.

3. Aliou Cisse
Returned to former club Sedan following Pompey release and later played for Nimes, before retiring in 2009, aged 33. Has been manager of the Senegal nation team since 2015.
4. Liam Horsted
The winger, now 34, played non-league football following his Pompey release, featuring for Bognor, Cirencester Town, the Hawks, Paulsgrove and AFC Portchester.
