Portsmouth go nap in comfortable Hampshire Women’s League victory
The Dorset club arrived with just one win to their name in 13 matches, and third-placed Portsmouth opened up a 3-0 half-time advantage.
Sam Hassell broke the deadlock from a short corner before Spooner finished off good work from Jenny Turvey.

Hide AdSpooner repaid the compliment, setting up Turvey to make it 3-0.
Spooner grabbed her second and Portsmouth wrapped up victory through a Zoe Wimshurst strike.
The 2nds are now seven points adrift of the Hampshire Division 2 promotion places after a 5-0 caning at Southampton University.
And the 3rds failed to take the chance to close the gap on the top two in Division 4, crashing 4-1 to second-placed Fleet & Ewshot.

Hide AdThat was still a slight improvement on the away game at Fleet, which Portsmouth lost 4-0 in early October.
Lowly Portsmouth 4ths knew they would be up against it at home to Division 5 table-toppers Alton 2nds.
And so it proved, as Alton sped into a 6-1 half-time lead - and that after Beatrice Gall had opened the scoring for Portsmouth.
The second half was shared 1-1, with Michelle Hughes scoring for the hosts.

Hide AdAlton had many more shots but player of the match Lucy Burden-Smith's incredible workrate kept them at bay for most of the half.
Portsmouth 5ths suffered a ninth Division 7 loss in 10 games, going down 6-1 at home to Fleet & Ewshot.
