Priory defeated Portsmouth rivals Milton Park to reach Palmerston Bowls Cup semi-finals
Milton led by two shots overall after six ends and only trailed by five after 12 ends.
Priory’s Roly Bloy nosed ahead from the start against Dave Brown, slowly drawing away to win 20-11.

Hide AdPriory’s Adrian Snook and Mick Molloy were always close until the 16th end when Priory gained five shots to help them triumph 23-14.
Milton’s Mick Brown led Mike Elliott’s rink 7-0, only for the latter to level at 7-7 after 10 ends.
Priory gained a three on the 16th end, only to lose the same amount on the 17th as Milton won 16-12.
Meon Valley 2nds are also through to the last four after a nail-biting affair against Banister Park.

Hide AdMeon led by 13 shots after 13 ends, but only scraped home 60-59 after winning just one of the three rinks.
Banister’s Paul May led from the off against Adie Booth, eventually winning 32-13.
Meon’s David Andrews dominated against Pete Lebbern, storming into a 35-3 lead after 16 ends and eventually winning 36-4.
Banister’s Steve Whitehead led 23-8 against Bill Bailey going into the 18th end.

Hide AdOverall, that meant Banister were now leading by two shots.
With only one wood left to each skip, Meon were holding three shots and a certain win.
But after Whitehead had pulled a point back, Bailey’s last wood got the slightest of touches to remove Banister’s wood and clinch victory by one
shot.
This week’s semi-finals will be between Lee on the Solent and Priory and holders Eastleigh Rail against Meon Valley 2nds.
