It was all in a good night's work for the winners of our WOW247 Awards at The Kings Theatre, Southsea

Fifteen awards were given out during the show at the Kings Theatre in Southsea and today we feature all of our winners.

There were also performances by rock band Hollowed Hour, Instant Star talent contest winner Mollie Jay and Portsmouth Players doing excerpts of their upcoming show Spamalot.

Features editor Simon Toft says: ‘I’d like to thank our sponsors Portsmouth College and the Kings Theatre for letting us use this marvellous venue. And thanks also to Mark Collins for standing in as host when his Wave 105 colleague Steve Power was taken ill.

‘Thank you to everyone who voted and thank you to everyone who attended – this wouldn’t happen without you.’

Simon Barrable, deputy principal of the college, who presented the Special Achievement award says: ‘It was a privilege to sponsor the WOW247 Awards for a second year as it showcases the sheer amount of talent and ambition in our very special city. To support and celebrate the arts, theatre, music and entertainment culture is very important to us as a college.

‘Hollowed Hour, who are comprised of four of our students, did us proud on the night and highlighted the achievement of young people in our city who will be the next generation of Portsmouth’s diverse and wonderful talent.’

And the fun didn't stop at The Kings – this year we had an after-party for the first time, organised by former Best DJ Award winners DJ Lemon and Pete Scathe – held at The Atrium. At the party Best Solo Act runner-up Sophie Darling and nominee Paul Dillon as well as New and Evans performed short sets for the revellers.
