Sister Bliss kicks off Three Friday Nights at Goodwood

But before then Sister Bliss will be packing them in tonight at Goodwood for the first of its annual dance bashes – Three Friday Nights.

So what can the uninitiated expect from a Sister Bliss DJ set?

‘I’ll be playing a mix of upfront house, with some classics thrown in for good measure,’ the superstar DJ told WOW247, ‘and of course it would be rude not to play a Faithless anthem here and there.’

How does DJing differ for her from playing as part of Faithless?

‘DJing sets focus more on upfront music – I can update my DJ set every week depending on what tunes I am currently feeling, or playing on my radio show, Sister Bliss in Session, whereas a Faithless live set includes only the music in our catalogue – although we tend to tweak our songs, or give them a little twist for every tour so they feel current – its the nature of electronic music – there is always a remix involved!’

And she had a great time at Mutiny (pictured above): ‘That was loads of fun – the weather was just stunning, and the crowd were having a really good boogie despite the heat.

‘The line-up was really good and I hope they continue to go from strength to strength.

‘I have quite an affection for Portsmouth as it’s one of the first places outside London I got booked to play when I started DJing – at the infamous Underground club in the university, and at Harry Limes!’

Next weekend Faithless return to headline the Isle of Wight Festival, which they last did in 2005.

‘It’s been an amazing experience and we can’t wait to play Isle of Wight again,’ says Bliss.

‘We have had so much love from the crowd – it seems we were missed and that’s a very special feeling for a band who’s been around as long as us.’

She also reveals that there may be some new music in the pipeline from Faithless: ‘We have certainly been busy in the recording studio, and hoping to put new material out over the summer – watch this space!’

Three Friday Nights is rounded out by Mistajam on June 10 and Basement Jaxx on June 17.
