Victorious Festival 2020: Ticket transfers, refunds, cancellations and what will happen in 2021

The much-anticipated three-day musical bonanza – the jewel in Portsmouth’s summer festival crown – was due to take place between August 27 and 29.

But as the nation continues to battle with the coronavirus epidemic, Victorious bosses took the tough decision to pull the plug on the show, amid public health concerns.

The move came as a bitter blow for thousands of revellers, with up to 195,000 music fans expected to attend the action over the spectacle’s three-day run.

Here is everything you now need to know about Victorious Festival and the fallout from its cancellation:

What is happening to 2020’s show?

The show has been cancelled entirely and will not be taking place.

How do I get a refund?

E-tickets bookings, including weekend camping, premium upgrades, lanyards, water bottles and Big Green Coach seats, will be fully refunded for those unable to attend 2021’s event. However, booking fees, ticketplan and charity donations and delivery fees won’t be refunded.

Emails will full details on the refunds process and how to apply will be sent via an email before Tuesday, May 19.

Those applying for a refund must do so by Thursday, May 28. Those who haven’t received an email about refunds by May 19 should email [email protected]

Those who have bought physical tickets from physical outlets will be able to visit the stores for up to 14 days after they have re-opened. Victorious will announce on its social media pages when stores are open.

How do I transfer my booking to 2021?

E-tickets for this year’s festival have automatically been transferred to 2021 and no further action is needed. A confirmation will be sent soon.

For those who bought physical tickets bought from official outlets will be valid for next year’s show.

Likewise, extras such as campervan pitches, lanyards and Big Green Coach tickets purchased from the Victorious website will also automatically be transferred to 2021.

What about children’s tickets – will they still count?

Children’s tickets for five to 12-year-old’s and under-fives, purchased for 2020, will still be honoured if youngsters turn five or 13 before next year’s show.

Those who purchased an e-ticket can email [email protected] so tickets can be updated. Those with physical tickets don’t need to do anything.

When will Victorious 2021 be taking place?

The show will be kicking off on August 27 and continue until August 29 on Southsea Common.

Tickets will be on sale soon for those who weren’t able to buy any for this year’s festival.

Who will be playing – will it be the same as this year’s line-up?

That is yet to be announced. Some artists booked for this year’s show may not be available for 2021’s event, so the line-up could be significantly different. Updates on this will follow in due course.
