‘We’re proper chuffed,’ says Damon. ‘It’s nice to know we’ve got a bit of love out there.’

And they used the chance to pay tribute to two of their friends – Matt Berry, who won posthumously last year, and Paul Keeler who died in May last year after a short illness.

‘We’re more than honoured to follow on from Matt Berry, who was a very dear friend of all of us. We also think Monkey Paul should get a nod – he did a huge amount for the local music and DJ scene.’
