Female horse riders gearing up for Magnolia Cup at Qatar Goodwood Festival Ladies' Day

The high-profile participants will charge down five-and-a-half furlongs of the straight course at Goodwood Racecourse, in front of a capacity crowd.

The ladies have only limited experience of riding racehorses and for some it will be their first time riding in a race.

Goodwood Racecourse chairman Lord March said: ‘The riders for this have been training extremely hard to prepare for their great race.’
