This May bank holiday is looking to be a good one for Portsmouth – the heat is picking up and South Central Festival is set to launch at King George V Playing Fields in Cosham, with a more than 85 per cent of tickets already sold.

Tomorrow sees District return to The Wedgewood Rooms with promises of plenty of bangers and free pizza to boot. Known for their infamous pizza parties, you can expect fresh slices and top tunes from some of your favourite alternative, emo, pop-punk and indie bands across two rooms. However, if you fancy catching live music at The Wedge this weekend, Crystal Tides will perform a headline gig tomorrow. The outfit are an indie-rock/pop band which draws from classic noughties guitar riffs but infuses it with modern feelgood pop; BBC Introducing describes them as ‘So summery, so good’.

This Monday, Delight At The Astoria on Guildhall Walk will team up with Rebels Store with £100 worth of free items to be won as well as featuring a pop-up shop. The brand is celebrating a relaunch so expect to grab some swagger at decent prices!
