Performances will be held by The Brass Holes Brass Band, Dan Turner, Prince Brandon, The PETEBOX, Tom Bryan and Foghorn.

Councillor Steve Pitt, Portsmouth City Council's cabinet member for Culture, said: ‘Live at the Bandstand always proves to be a popular family show and is a great example of how we are a city rich in culture and creativity.

‘We are pleased our bandstand events have been able to continue during the coastal defence work and are delighted to use the opportunity to welcome visitors to the north of the city for a sunny weekend of live music.’

Live at the Bandstand is annually held in Southsea throughout the summer, but has been moved to Cosham due to the work ongoing at the coastal defences.

It has also been held on Castle Field, with another event being held in September.

Portsmouth City Council has potential visitors that an amber weather warning will be in place.

They advise people to stay hydrated, wear sun cream, and take plenty of breaks in the shade.

The council added: ‘King George V playing fields are easily reached by public transport and are a short walk away from Cosham train station.

‘Please walk, cycle, scoot or use public transport wherever possible.’
