MANIC STREET PREACHERS

The band formed in the late-’80s as Betty Blue and consisted of Bradfield, Wire and Moore.

The band was re-named Manic Street Preachers when roadie Richey Edwards James was involved as musician.

All four members were childhood friends from Wales.

The group later became a trio when Edwards disappeared in 1995.

The band have released twelve albums and three compilations and to date have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.

Famous hits include ‘Motown Junk’, ‘Prologue To History’ and ‘A Design for Life’.

The band are notorious for their intellectual lyrics, often containing quotations from philosophers, historically important persons, artists and politicians.

Mark Ronson is an English musician, DJ, and record producer.

In 2014, Ronson achieved his first UK and US number one single with the Grammy-nominated ‘Uptown Funk’, which featured vocals from Bruno Mars.

His second album, Version, reached number two in the UK and included three top 10 singles, including ‘Oh My God’ featuring Lily Allen and ‘Valerie’ featuring Amy Winehouse.

This success won him a Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist in 2008.[3] His third studio album, Record Collection, was released on 27 September 2010, peaking at number two in the UK.

In 2015 the song won Ronson the Brit Award for British Single of the Year.

Ronson has also produced multi-platinum, Grammy-winning albums for Amy Winehouse and Adele.

THE LEVELLERS

The Levellers are a rock band founded in 1988 and based in Brighton.

The name of the band is drawn from the Levellers, a 17th-century radical democracy movement founded in England during the English Civil War.

The band became a huge name in 1994 when their appearance at the Glastonbury Festival attracted the biggest stagefront crowd that the event had ever seen.

Well-known hits include ‘Carry Me’, ‘Hope Street’, ‘Just The One’ and ‘Beautiful Day’.

ASH

Ash is a Northern Irish alternative rock band, formed in 1992 by vocalist and guitarist Tim Wheeler, bassist Mark Hamilton and drummer Rick McMurray. As a three-piece, they released mini-album Trailer in 1994, followed by 1977 in 1996.

This 1996 release was named by NME as one of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

After the success of their full debut the band recruited Charlotte Hatherley as a guitarist and vocalist, releasing their second record Nu-Clear Sounds in 1998.

After narrowly avoiding bankruptcy the band released Free All Angels in 2001 and a string of successful singles.

The band have had one silver, two gold and two platinum-selling records in the UK, as well as 18 songs in the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart.

In 2015, they released a sixth studio album, entitled Kablammo!

Famous hits include ‘Girl From Mars’, ‘Kung Fu’ and ‘Shining Light’.
