Pregnant woman and child involved in Gosport crash as man cut free from car

As reported, the two-car collision happened at the junction of Forton Road and Spring Garden Lane in Gosport at about 3.30pm on Sunday.
Fire crews from Gosport and Fareham were called and had to release a man, who was about 30, who was trapped in his Suzuki Swift.

Hide AdFirefighters had to carry out a ‘full roof removal’ to free the man who was passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service (Scas) and taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital.
A Volkswagen car carrying a pregnant woman, child and man was also involved.
The trio had got out of car by the time emergency services arrived but were advised to go to hospital for ‘precautionary checks’.
A police spokeswoman said: ‘We were called at 3.30pm to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Forton Road in Gosport. Scas were also in attendance, with minor injuries being reported.’
