Skipper Matt Mitchell said he was very proud of the victory: ‘It’s awesome. It was pretty tense with every schedule when we got the position reports in and each time it did, we thought we had dodged a bullet.
‘We dodged the final bullet this morning and we’re really pleased we managed to hold the others off.’
A huge crowd of well-wishers and supporters gathered to cheer PSP Logistics into the port, before the team were presented with their winning pennant and officially welcomed to Sanya.
PSP has been a partner to the Clipper Race for 5 races.
It works to ensure that all equipment, spares and race village arrive safely and on time for each stop over.
The firm will earn 12 points for their win.
