A HOUSEBUILDER has helped to raise more than £450 for charity.

David Wilson Homes was sticking the kettle on in its developments across the region, taking part in a charity coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

In total, the firm has managed to raise £461 by taking part in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning Event. David Wilson Homes sites, including St James Place in Clanfield, sold homemade cakes and offered tea and coffee.

Visitors also got a chance to chat with neighbours and staff in a morning filled with fundraising and socialising.

Sales director Michelle Storer said that the Macmillan charity event is a key date in the firm’s fundraising calendar.

Michelle said: ‘Cancer touches so many people’s lives and the coffee morning is a great way for everyone to get involved in the fundraising effort.’
