A MOBILE service offering people advice on how to deal with cancer is coming to Hampshire.

A team from Macmillan Cancer Support will visit the county as part of Carers Week, which runs from June 12-18.

The service will stop at Market Square in Petersfield on June 12, near St Faiths Church in Havant on June 13, and on the Isle of Wight on June 14 and 15.

The team will offer free, confidential support to anyone with concerns or questions about cancer, or caring for someone with the disease.

Charlotte Argyle, carers support programme manager at Macmillan, said: ‘As the number of people diagnosed with cancer continues to rise, even more people are looking after their friends and family.

‘Many people don’t see themselves as carers and don’t get support because they don’t know it’s available.

‘We want to make it as easy as possible for carers to get the support they need.’
