Portsmouth Paul’s heroic fundraising efforts

DISABLED fundraiser Paul Smith will hold collections at Gunwharf Quays ahead of a mammoth challenge.

Mr Smith, of Cosham, will be self-propelling his wheelchair from Plymouth to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in April.

He will be raising money towards his challenge at the shopping village on November 24, January 19, and March 5.

Mr Smith was left severely disabled in a motorcycle accident in 1991.

The former leading seaman specailist with the Royal Navy has since dedicated himself to raising thousands of pounds for charity.

His latest challenge, which will see him travel around 325 miles from the Devon city to the home of his beloved Arsenal, hopes to raise £50,000 for Save the Children.

To donate, visit justgiving.com/challenge300 or keep up to date with his progress at facebook.com/challenge300.
