TRIBUTES have been paid to 11 Royal Marines killed in an IRA bomb attack in 1989.

Last week HMS Queen Elizabeth '“ the Royal Navy's biggest ever warship '“ arrived in Virginia for the next stop on its journey north up the east coast of the US.

The 65,000-tonne carrier is currently undergoing historic flight trials, and will also visit New York before heading back to Portsmouth in time for Christmas.
