Campaign for Better Transport dismisses A27 bypass proposals
TRANSPORT critics are refusing to back options put forward to upgrade the A27 bypass around Chichester.
A consultation ended yesterday over the Highways England works, which could cost up to £250m.
Chris Todd, roads campaigner for Campaign for Better Transport, said: ‘They are potentially suggesting spending hundreds of millions of pounds just to shave a few minutes off people’s journeys and in the process causing a huge amount of damage.’
