MP discusses motorcycle nuisance

COMBATING motorcycle noise and speeding on the A32 and A272 have been discussed by the Meon Valley MP and Hampshire's Police and Crime Commissioner.

MP George Hollingbery met Michael Lane last week to talk about bringing in average speed cameras.

Mr Lane made a manifesto commitment to address the issue and said he will be working to find match funding and talking to parish councils about where the cameras should be placed.

Mr Hollingbery said: ‘I’m very pleased that Michael sees tackling this problem as a priority.

‘I understand that many motorcyclists ride perfectly within the law, but the minority really are making the lives of residents living on or near these roads a misery, especially over the summer months.’
