Residents to give their views on future structure of Hampshire's councils

RESIDENTS are set to have their say on the future structure of their local government.

Hampshire County Council is set to launch an eight-week public consultation on Wednesday into gathering residents’ views on how the council and the county’s 11 district councils could change or be reorganised.

Cllr Roy Perry, the council’s leader said: ‘The views of all residents in Hampshire are important to me, and it’s crucial that we keep them at the forefront of the wider devolution agenda.’

Residents will be invited to answer questions on a number of options including the option of combined authorities.

The consultation will be carried out by Ipsos MORI.
