As revealed by The News, Danny Cowley might be forced to wait until the summer to get the man who’s emerged as a prime midfield target.
And that has led to speculation that 26-year-old Wing, who is currently on loan at League One rivals Sheffield Wednesday, could be an alternative option on a short-term arrangement.

Hide AdIndeed, according to journalist Peter O’Rourke, discussions have already been held with the player about a loan move, which would be his fourth n recent seasons after similar spells at Yeovil and Rotherham.
Part of those talks would need to include his current spell at the Owls, where Wing has made 24 appearances this term.
However, the player has not matched expectations at Hillsborough, with his last appearance coming on January 2 when Darren Moore’s side lost 1-0 at Shrewsbury.
He has been left out of Wednesday’s past three match-day squads and it is being reported that Championship Middlesbrough are prepared to cancel his loan at the Yorkshire outfit.
