Police confirm person died after being hit by train near Southbourne station between Havant and Chichester
and live on Freeview channel 276
The incident happened at Southbourne station on the line between Havant and Chichester.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: ‘Officers were called to Southbourne station at 12.22pm today (7 April) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Hide Ad‘Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
‘Officers are now working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin.
‘This incident is not being treated as suspicious.’
All train lines between Havant and Chichester have been blocked as a result of the fatality.
Southern Rail tweeted: ‘Lines are shut between Havant and Chichester.

‘Tickets will be accepted on Stagecoach 700 bus services in the local area.

- Stagecoach 700 bus services between Littlehampton, Bognor Regis, Chichester, Havant & Portsmouth.
- SWR services between Portsmouth/Southampton/Havant and London Waterloo.

‘Journeys to/from Portsmouth, Southampton and other west coastway destinations will be affected today.’
