AN AUTHOR from Portsmouth is to have his first book published.

Author Marvin Sexton’s debut children’s book Man’s First Words will be published by Beercott Books next year.

Man’s First Words is about a boy, in a world without words, discovering the power of speech. Written in rhyme, it is a heart-warming tale for younger readers.

Simon Lucas, owner of Beercott Books, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Marvin aboard and to be able to bring his debut children’s book to readers.

‘As soon as we read the text, we were struck by how the simple words brought such a powerful and heart-warming tale to life.’

Man’s First Words is scheduled to be published early 2021 in paperback.
