Megan Rapley from Emsworth was one of the cast members on MTV’s Celebrity Ex on the Beach, which finished airing last night, after producers asked her to surprise ex-boyfriend Calum Best on the show, which sees drama as people are surprised by past lovers.

The 24-year-old shared a villa in Marbella with reality stars including Joey Essex, famous for The Only Way is Essex, Love Island’s Georgia Harrison and Michael Griffiths as well as Olympian Ashley McKenzie.

Megan said: ‘It really was an amazing experience and I had so much fun. It happened all really quickly as I got a message from the producers over Instagram asking if I would be on the show. About a week later I flew to Marbella.’

Megan had been dating Calum on and off for the past few years and the pair appeared to rekindle on the show.

She said: ‘We always had a good friendship but I think the show was a chance for us to see if it would work out. We have gone our separate ways but we remain friends.

‘I had never been starstruck by Calum as he was just someone I was dating but to see people I had watched on TV and admired was really strange but they couldn’t have been more welcoming.’

Since returning home, the part-time model has been thinking of a career change.

Megan said: ‘I do love designing kitchens but it has been weird to come home from such an amazing summer to go back to that. I have done some modelling before but I think it has made me want to pursue that world more.

‘I had such a good experience with it all and MTV were amazing and the team gave us training to deal with social media and trolling which thankfully I haven’t had too much of but I just ignore it because all they want is a reaction.’

The full series of Celebrity Ex on the Beach is now available on MTV play.
