Accountancy firm grows

AN INCREASE in new businesses in the Portsmouth area and the growth of existing ones has led to the expansion of a long-established city accountancy firm.

Barter Durgan, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, has seen a rapid increase in its client base over the past year.

The company, in Victoria Road South, Southsea, is now recruiting two new trainee accountants.

‘Portsmouth is a great place to do business and there’s been a real uplift in the number of start-ups and expansions recently,’ said partner John Pache.

‘We’ve been helping local businesses to success for 90 years and we are very pleased to be expanding further and recruiting new people to join our team.’
