Anniversary year is a success for Trethowans

IT'S spent 2016 celebrating 150 years in business and now regional law firm Trethowans is celebrating a string of commendations in one of the UK legal industry's most prestigious lists.

The law firm, which is the main sponsor of the Business Excellence Awards, run by The News, has been ranked in the Chambers & Partners 2017 directory. The annual publication lists top UK lawyers based on feedback from clients and peers.

Among the 11 Trethowans practice areas heralded in this year’s list were the family and matrimonial and the banking and finance teams.

The agricultural and rural property, clinical negligence and personal injury teams all retained their top tier rankings.

Nineteen individual lawyers were ranked, with several partners including private client partner Elizabeth Webbe and head of employment team Simon Rhodes featuring in band one.

It comes just a few weeks after Trethowans received a record number of listings in the Legal 500 and was hailed as one of the top 150 independent law firms in the UK.
