Bereavement support group to open in more locationsÂ

The monthly groups, organised by Southern Co-op's bereavement centre, offer people the chance to meet others who have lost a loved one.

Currently, they are held in Fareham as well as Farnborough, Bognor Regis and other areas. New groups will be starting soon in Portsmouth, Waterlooville and Havant.

Ingrid McAllister-Derry, bereavement centre manager and counsellor, said: '˜We created the support groups to be inclusive and available to everyone.

'˜The group is intended to be relaxed and comfortable but with the opportunity to talk to a counsellor over coffee and cake.' 

In Fareham, the group meets on the first Wednesday of every month between 1pm and 3pm at Community Action, West Street.
