Builders' merchants wins running award

The team from Covers in Chichester were presented with The Evans Weir Works Trophy, which is awarded to the corporate running team achieving the fastest combined team time.

Justin Walsh, Mat Sherry and Sam Cole tackled the 13-mile course and raised £1,500 for charity Children on the Edge, with Justin achieving a personal best of 1hr 45mins and Sam and Mat coming in at 1hr 51mins and 2hrs 18mins respectively.

Assistant manager Justin said: ‘We are absolutely delighted.

‘We put our all into getting the best times possible, so it’s a great feeling to know that all our hard work paid off whilst supporting such an important charity.’
